Heyy, I’m Dinar, was born and raised in Indonesia. I really enjoy traveling… kind of a cliche, right? 😅

Jogja was home for years, but “hometown” has always been a tricky question. Spending three years in North Maluku, a quiet, beautiful island surrounded by blue seas and volcanoes (one of my favorite hikes ever!) made it feel like home too. I think wherever the journey goes, there’s always a chance to find a new kind of family and a new sense of home.

I genuinely love meeting new people! I’m naturally curious (I might ask random or slightly silly questions hehe), but that’s just because I love discovering what makes people them :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

when I was younger, I watched a great movie named into the wild, with the famous quotes, "happiness only real when shared". Sometimes ofc I enjoy doing something on my own (people called it me time lol), but most of the time, I felt happier when I can do something together, share my happiness with others :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was young, I backpacked to a remote island (Karimun Jawa) and can't go home because the high wave so there is no public ship (until indeterminate time), while I need to go to school the next day :) Finally I found out there is a ship (not for people actually, but for fish) passed over, so I join them 🤣
