About Me

Welcome to my profile.
I live alone in an apartment with 2 bedrooms in Old town, not in the new part of Astana – Esil District (the Left Side), but it's very close to Downtown.
I am a witty, neat, cheerful, open-minded, friendly and easy-going person, and I consider myself to be sensitive, thoughtful and kind.
Here in my profile you can prove yourself that there are only positive references from true surfers and hosts.
I am a veg. I respect eastern family traditions and I like spending time with my relatives and of course with my friends.
At the week-ends I can accompany you in your sightseeing Downtown and be your translator)) cause locals don't speak English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, welcome to Kazakhstan, guys! There are the presentation videos about my country https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eZn1USR8R8 and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBgWW5-4YW8&t=1s!! Ta-daam!
And now after you finished admiring the videos above I'd like to share some tips with you, travellers:
if you visit Kazakhstan, please stay more in Almaty. There are 14 regions in Kazakhstan, but Almaty and Mangystau regions are sure my favorites.
Actually ancient name of Almaty region was Zhetysu, please enjoy these videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwUv7Pb-7jc
and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QughO9FlyWs.
And this one video about Mangystau region https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c9VDprVDkk.

So if you visit Almaty, don't miss a chance to visit Kyrgyz Republic, it takes you only 4 hours by bus to get from Almaty to Bishkek (capital of Kyrgyz Republic). There's really cheap to stay and locals would be glad for you a little bit more than in Kazakhstan. And the views are breathtaking, you can prove it yourself from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A3UolQN9q4

Tips about Astana, I recommend you to stay here at least 2 days:
1st-day-tour
Start your meeting Astana from the Expo area, admire Astana ballet building and Sport complexes, then move to the Nurzhol blv. from Khan Shatyr shopping mall and go towards Presidential palace (while walking Nurzhol blv. you will see all the views as from internet pictures like Baiterek tower, the House of Ministries, fountains and etc).
From the other river coast visit Presidential park, Pyramyd (600KZT), Liberty sq., Liberty palace (there's kazakh art gallery for free inside), National museum (first Sunday of each month there's free of charge, other days fee is 2000KZT) and the Biggest Mosque (Khazret Sultan, free of charge and open for everyone) which is my favorite.
2st-day-tour
Start the second day from Circus sq, Duman complex and go to the Astana central park, across the river Esil through the Tengrian walking bridge (before the Islam was spread to Kazakhstan there used to be Tengrian religion and that bridge would remind us of such period of our past), go towards river coast till Kenesary monument (=national heroe, he was fighting for our independence from Imperial Russia and was the last Kazakh khan), turn left to the Arbat blv. When it's out you'd come to Kongress Hall.
1) From Kongress Hall you can go to the Old sq. till Abay monument (=our "Shakespeare", he gave us kazakh language in a way we use it till current time), turn left to the Ministry of finance area:
you see Kerey and Zhanibek monument(=guys who established Kazakhstan as a state 552 years ago), the Drama Theatre, the sq. with beautiful fountains, don't miss a chance to take a photo on the bench painted a picture of Van Gogh's Starry Night.
2) From Kongress Hall you can turn right to admire the oldest buildings from the Monarchy Russia. In the intersection of Kenesary str and the Republic ave. there is an alley where locals play chess every week-ends. They'd be very glad to play with you. You might win for your country!! ))
From the intersection turn right to the Republic ave, that's my favorite ave. and walk just 15 mins touching the way local live.
And you should be ready for a little bit stress caused from locals which usually are not able to speak English. I wish you a pleasant time in Astana and in Kazakhstan of course!
In case of questions about spending time in Kazakhstan please do not hesitate to contact me ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll bring kazakh chocolate and frigde magnet with picture of Astana, Kazakhstan.
It's trully the best kazakh chocolate (by Rakhat factory), even my friends from St. Petersburg (Russia) prefer this chocolate rather than their own from St. Petersburg!!!
I also can cook for you.
