About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To connect with and make friends with people all over the globe!

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Dinda, I'm an Aussie of mixed European & Indonesian background - but I consider myself a Global Citizen because I spend a large part of my life either travelling or living in different parts of the globe ;) So far have done countries in every continent except for Africa & Antarctica, and they are both on my bucket list, hopefully soon! I'm a qualified Aerospace Engineer, but I also went to drama school because I love all things artistic, and I'm always working on side-hustles of different businesses, just love being on the go and doing stuff! Of course I could easily balance that out with sitting on the couch watching Netflix. I love meeting new people and making new friends from around the world, travel, the beach, the performing arts, movies, binge reading self development and business books, and trying out new cafes ;) Already have a network of amazing friends on all continents of the globe and love to continue to expand that.

I'm also married to an amazing guy who travels around the world a lot for work, we're both in our late 20s (I'm 27, he's 29). We do a lot of travel together, but I also do a lot of solo travel when he's working! (He's a pilot).

Life is all about experiences and the people that you share it with, and I'd love to meet you!

PHILOSOPHY

Limitations are only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become endless!

Don't live the same year 75 times and call it a life!

When you wake up in the morning, and realise you are alive, you have everything you need. Be grateful.

Play big, and live big! It's better to live a life of "I can't believe I did that!' Rather than a life of 'what ifs'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite bookstore is a 3-storey secondhand bookshop in the city, it is amazing and I can never come back empty handed! I love reading self-development and self-awareness books such as those by Deepak Chopra, as well as business books. Some favourites include Robert Kiyosaki books, Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, and Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg. Also romance novels.

I love watching movies and TV shows! That's one of my favourite things to do in my down time if I'm not travelling, working, or outdoors with nature.

Movies - Romance, comedies, mysteries, and musicals. Bridesmaids, 21 Jump Street/22 Jump Street, Grease, Strictly Ballroom, Great Gatsby.

TV Shows - Suits, The Good Wife, Modern Family, Madame Secretary, Freaks and Geeks, Downtown Abbey, Big Bang Theory, Revenge, Medium, So you think you can dance, Wonderland, The Vampire Diaries, White Collar, The Bachelor Australia

Music - All genres except Death Metal. The Kooks, Angus & Julia Stone, Frou Frou, Birds of Tokyo, Paramore, Jennifer Lopez, City and Colour, Jazz/cocktail music, latin beats, musical theatre songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to attend the National Test Pilot School in California which was pretty cool! Got to fly airplanes and do all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff!
