À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

If you read my references, you'll notice that in some people's view (ok, in most people's view), I walk too fast. Well, contrary to this prevalent opinion, I have to say NO, I don't walk too fast! The rest of the world walks too slow! While I'M shaving valuable seconds off every journey on foot, where are other people? Behind me, that's where. In a cloud of dust :-)

Other than walking fast, I like singing (preferably in the shower or in a noraebang (Korean singing room)), reading, writing and playing Mariokart on the Wii (my new favourite hobby). I also like animals - the orangutan and the giraffe are my current favourites - and I like making soup. I've been vegetarian since I was 11 apart from a regrettable octopus leg here in Korea.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host at the moment but I like to meet CSers.

Centres d'intérêt

Reading about people who inspire me, learning about other perspectives and life experiences, making things, shopping (yes, it's a shallow pursuit but I love it), animals, needless trivia, art, politics, watching bad American TV like MTV Cribs(preferably with my brother so we can deride it together), history... bits of many things.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: Tintin, A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett (kid's books are the best books - give Dr Seuss a try if you haven't ever read him), The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan and Josephine Butler's biography by Jane Jordan. Josephine Butler is a heroine of mine.

Movies: Gladiator, In Bruges, Breakfast At Tiffany's, and Bernard and the Genie (I'm almost 99% certain you've never seen this film - old, obscure, British made-for-TV movie starring Lenny Henry).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Travel-wise, the memories that stick out for me are:
Flying over one million migrating wildebeest on my way to the Masai Mara.
Ceilidh dancing (Scottish dancing) in the rain with strangers in Warsaw old town city square.
Being a bridesmaid at a Chinese wedding.

Ummm... I'm good at spelling. I can spot spelling errors easily!... although I bet there's tons of spelling mistakes in here that I just haven't noticed and I've gone and made a mockery of my own claim... I would love to learn how to sew properly and how to do all kinds of creative things. I'll happily learn anything new.

I want someone to teach me how to tie a nice-looking bow.

Pays que j'ai visités
