ABOUT ME

I'm 50, single, actually enomployed. I'm a geologist, butmy last job was as asphalt plant manager. I was also a lifeguard in several places in Sardinia.
I live in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy and I love sea, sun and sports which I can fortunately practise here

I love swimming, basketball and cycling and... cooking!
I studied English at school but I didn't practise a lot, I hope to improve it quickly.
I travel often but for short time, because I always worked full time; now I'm starting totravel in middle-east Europe. I know only the first step, Bratislava, then let's see...:)
I think I am a friendly person, with a good character, passionate and smiling guy. :)
My friends call me "Wikipedia", because I can often answer to different questions :D
But I have a lot of fantasy, so my answers could be also creative and funny sometimes XD!
I have a lot of weakness, of course: I'm lazy, early riser, big eater and a bit stubborn, but because I'm often right! XD

Now I m starting a new long trip with my nephew, he travelled quite a lot and is a very active host/sufer in this huge community, He is the second host in Taipei for experiences :))) :

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host now, but I am goging to do soon once I have a new apartment as I would like to help guys to discover Sardinia.
On the other hand they will help me to improve my English and French and I am curious to listen to their own travel adventure' stories.

And travel, of course! This is the reason for which I'm on CS. I lost a lot of time in working, now it's time to made something important discovering new countries and cultures, meeting new people and making new friends all over the world! :)

All Kubrick's films, expecially "A Clock work orange", "Doctor Strangelove", Hitchcock's " North by Northwest", Coppola's "Apocalypse now", and all Almodovar's movies, my favourite is "Habla con Ella". Then Sergio Leone, Fellini, Spielberg, Tarantino and many thers...
My favourite actors are Cary Grant, Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones!), Gian Maria Volontè, Marcello Mastoianni, Meryl Streep, Uma Thurman.....and I m sure I forgot many others ...:)
I like every kind of music, if it's good music.
Rock(Queen, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Dire Straits, Lou Reed, REM, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, U2, Doors, Police, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Elthon John, ...)

The books I prefer are Orwell's "1984", Gabriel García Márquez's "Cien años de soledad", Primo's Levi "Se questo è un uomo", but i read so much books....

Algo increíble que he hecho

It's amazing to discover other places, other languages, other faces, other cultures. I am surprised to see how many young boys and girls travel so much, When I was 20, it was a privilege, so I am happy to know that :)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I studied only english at school, and I started also french recently, so I'm not a good language teacher despite I can teach You Italian, my mother language and Sardinian :).
And I can teach You something about Geology and how to make asphalt :)).... moreover how to swim as I was a lifeguard, how to cook delicious Italian dishes as I have a big talent for that :) If You dont trust me I can prove that cooking something for You! :D
