About Me
Hi there! My name is Diogo Jantarada, I'm 24 years old and I come from the little but amazing country called Portugal.
I started here in couchsurfing for my Southeast Asia trip and so far I have met some of the most authentic and amazing people thanks to CS, and shared great experiences with them.
I'm a flexible and respectful person, eager to meet new people to influence and be influenced by good energies and share knowledge about basically everything 😃.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, first reason when I signed up was to reduce my trip's costs 😋
On the other hand, I had friends who did this many times and they always find out it is one of the best opportunities to truly connect with local people.
Nowadays, I have found for myself this amazing community where I have made good friends for life and be able to participate in the "sharing economy" which I believe it's one good answer to the human's overspending and massive consumption of the planet.
Interests
Well, I can't say one single interest which is more important to me than the other. I can't do the same for too much time and I love trying new things and test my limits (if I'm comfortable with it). I both love to spend time with people and share experiences and stories, but sometimes I also need my time alone to be in peace with myself and reconnect with the things that make me feel good.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: every type of music, depending of the mood, but nowadays mostly indie rock, techno, and jazz.
Movies: So many... every Quentin Tarantino's movie, Fight Club, Into the Wild, Batman: the ones with Christian Bale, and so many more 😀
Books: Economics, politics, philosophy, esoteric, spiritual, basically I just don't like novels very much.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know of it was incredible, but it was really challenging for me to do an interrail for 1 month when I was 18 years old with a friend who didn't speak English 😅 also, I did tandem jump (free fall) which was pretty crazy for me
Teach, Learn, Share
Most of the teaching I did was with kids, teaching them how to swim and other sports. I would love to learn how to cook different dishes than Portuguese ones (I'm not an expert, but I love to try different flavors and experiences when cooking 😅) and also learn about different cultures and religions. This because I know that in the end, all of us want peace, respect and love from the other, no matter the race or religion.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It depends on the host's perfectionism, but I can cook, clean, build, transport things, and have very good conversations 😁
