About Me
Hello, I'm a philosophy's teacher and poet who loves to travel and have been dreaming of travelling the world since he was a little boy. I'm 27 years old and I'm born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've finished my Master in philosophy recently and I figured out that now, before starting a new project, it's the perfect time to get into a long and unplanned trip. I've travelled a few times before, always in backpacker's style, around Europe and around South America, but always in restricted periods of time, no more than three months, because many things were holding me in Brazil. Now I'm planning to stay travelling the most I can, and this is one of the reasons I'm looking for alternative ways of travelling, such as couchsurfing. Another reason is that now I'm travelling alone, and just occurs to me this is an amazing opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. I want to allowed myself to do non-planning things, just to let things happen and see where they can take me. And couchsurfing appears to me as an excelent way to do that. There's a famous poet in Brazil, called Vinicius de Moraes, who said once: "Life is the art of meeting". I guess I want to practice this art right now.
Interests
Reading and writing are probably my main occupations. Besides that, I love to talk, to do long walks, to visit squares, parks, museums and pubs. In my trips, I usually prefer just to walk around the cities, exploring them without a plan, seating where I want to, going in the directions that attract me. To be near of nature is something essential for me. I also have been practicing meditation for some years now.

Music, Movies, and Books
Literature in first place. Then philosophy and buddhism. I can mention some names. Dostoiesvky, Kafka, Rilke, Holderlin, Nietzsche, Spinoza, Virginia Woolf, Jorge Luis Borges.
In terms of music, there are too many styles I love, amoung which I can cite: blues, jazz, soul, folk, classical, flamenco, brazilian music, and more... I can't play music, but I'm a very musical person, very influenced by music. And dancing is something very important to me too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the two most amazing things I've done are probably my trip around South America (three and a half months) and my Master on Nietzsche's philosophy. Both difficult things, but both very meaningful.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Spain, Uruguay
