About Me

Hello! Olá! !Hola! Cześć!

I'm Diogo, 21 years old and I live near Lisbon, Portugal. Currently I'm a EVS (European Volunteering Service) volunteer in Wroclaw, Poland. Here I work with teenagers and seniors in risk of social exclusion and help out in the European Capital of Culture 2016 events. I'm loving it.

I like politics and spend a lot of my time getting updated on what's going on in the world, I like to travel, to collect postcards and little bootles of air of the places I visit. I'm also a big fan of trying new cuisine and I have the mission of collecting cookbooks from everywhere.

If we don't get the chance to meet trough couchsurfing, check my postcrossing profile: https://www.postcrossing.com/user/diogopereira and maybe we can exchange some.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to try a new way to travel and meet people. Couchsurfing seemed to be a good bet to do it so.

Interests

It all depends on the mood, but some of my interests are:

Cinema, Series
Politics and International Relations
Reading
Postcrossing
Cooking

  • culture
  • cooking
  • politics
  • movies
  • reading
  • traveling
  • socializing
  • international relations
  • volunteering

Music, Movies, and Books

It's always dificult to name favourite art pieces. But in terms of music I like portuguese rock and the best book I ever read is To Kill a Mockingbird by Lee Harper.

On cinema, I'm pretty strict but I'll give a shot to a film if I see any potential in it. Also, normaly just pick a artist/director and watch his/her all filmography at once.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, the most incredible thing I ever did is what I'm doing now, my EVS in Poland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think a good conversation is always a good way to teach/share stuff. And I'm willing to learn and talk about most subjects. But if you are interest in portuguese, International Politics, Portuguese Cuisine or sharing postcrossing adresses, I'm a good person for that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My Portuguese and English, bad jokes and a good talk over a home cooked meal. Or just a random surprise. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
