ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! I'm a Portuguese guy, always lived nearby Lisbon, and always dreamed about traveling.

I'm a very outgoing person, since one of my greatest pleasures is to get to know different people, to share my own experiences, to have fun with whoever I'm with.

I love to enjoy every second, experience the moment, help the others, to give myself the best I can so me and my friends make the best out of the day. Be there where everyone's at. I love to love and to be loved :)

I always thought this world is too big to stay still for too long. For whatever reason, I slowly started to settle down as I graduated from college and began to work. Now I decided to start traveling more, discover new cultures, new people. I must, It makes no sense not to. Discover my world. Our world :)

Intereses

I love cinema, all sorts of films. Even those "popcorn-like-for-all-family". Every movie is a work of art. Some are prettier, some are deeper, some are just fun. But it's one of the best ways to transmit a message. Of course I have my favorite genres and specific movies, but I end up loving cinema altogether. I didn't buy an Home Cinema projection system to my living room for nothing ;)

I love music, almost can't stand much time without it. It feed my soul :) Rock mainly, but also love country, jazz, and even electronic (love those synth-80's-like electro sound coming out these last few years). Some pop also, but I'm mostly far from the mainstream and nearer the unknown, indie, more deep and orchestrated music.

I love to dance, but to really enjoy the night dancing, there must be really good-music-to-dance involved. And I mean good rock/pop classic from the 70's up. Everything from Bowie, Depeche, Queen or the Stones, to James, Pearl Jam, Radiohead or Nirvana. Oh, and no one succeeded to stop me from making faces moving around dancing to Livin' on a Prayer :D

I know it sounds like I'm a love-everything-since-I-have-no-personal-taste kinda guy, but It's just because I tend to believe everything could be worthwhile, more or less. There's things I love, things I can't stand sometimes, things I kinda get into, things I almost worship and can't live without. But I can't miss the opportunity to enjoy, to discover. In sum, to find out. To experience. To live.

I could read more, I'm glad there's no "Favorite Books" section here, or I'd have to type in something like "Uncle Scrooge" or "Mônica Dentuça" - great cartoons from Brazil, by the way :)

I like sports, I do play soccer - I mean, I'm from Portugal, guys :P - but my thing is to run. I love to run, marathons, get to the tracks, against the wind and the rain. I occasionally go on my bike and I'm currently (trying) to surf (must take advantage of the great beaches nearby, it's only natural!)

Finally... eat. I love to eat. Oh, If only I could stay in shape and eat all I want :) Also I was born on a country with an amazing gastronomy, so... I'm innocent! Don't judge me! ;D

Oh, so there's a specific field for these art specific tastes :)

OK, so... Movies are my true passion. My personal taste goes for directors like Tarantino, Rodriguez, Lynch... and also love a good smart comedy film like the ones from Mel Brooks and such - can't stop laughing with those old "Airplane" ahah. I also love movies with either good and intense photography, a nice soundtrack, but mainly a deep and strong message. Hence I usually enjoy a good romance or drama. Not much into Horror or Cop films though - one Saw movie is enough. Although I do enjoy a fine Action film, like all of those Die Hard sequels - maybe because Bruce and I share the same hairstyle ;)

Music is how I feed my soul. I'd starve without music. Tried to learn the piano and the acoustic guitar, but I'm more of a consumer than I creator. I mean, for now ;)
Grown up listening to Bowie, Queen, Scorpions, and even Elton John, while my friends where ate kindergarten singing... whatever kids are supposed to sing. So I'm forever in love with the classics.
There's nothing a good intense hard rock sound, but I could go the same for 80's pop or electro-indie bands around. There are things I can't stand to listen, but there are far many more bands I love :)

Books? Read the "Interests" part of my profile for yourself. Cartoons it's pretty much as far as I go :D

Missing here, and also missing in me: I find no particular joy with other forms of art like Paintings of Sculptures. Museums are often not my drill.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Been living, enjoying the best I can. Been loved, have suffered, been loved again. As almost everyone :) Still hoping to do something amazing. And for me that means to make a difference in the world. But hey, who knows, maybe someday I'll go to the top of Mt. Everest, and comeback here to brag about it :D

Well, I'm graduating as a Computer Engineer, so I guess I could help anyone with programming issues :) I am also a good listener, and try to help teaching people to help themselves other than just to help people for instant gratification. If that counts :)
