ABOUT ME

Did lots of traveling in my late teens and early twenties but work eventually put a real damper in my travel aspirations. I just took about three years off work to do some parental caregiving and now I'm traveling around a bit on the west coast attempting to figure out where I'm going to set myself down for a while. It's starting to look like it's gonna be somewhere in Oregon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Did a lot of hitchhiking in me younger days and it was not unusual to get taken in for the night by a ride. Met some absolutely wonderful people.

Interests

Into backpacking, tennis, meditation, and keeping fit. Buddhism and Advaita.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While hitchhiking through BC when I was 18, I was picked up by the RCMP as a murder suspect because I resembled the guy on the wanted poster. They eventually ended up finding me a free place to stay for the night and gave me a copy of the poster as a souvenir.

Teach, Learn, Share

Have been a volunteer community mediator for about 12 years. Have played guitar for many years--not so much lately. Extensive backpacking experience.
Would love to get some NVC practice from any practitioners.
