Hi there!

Born and raised in the Netherlands I graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2012. Since it was kind of crappy to find a steady job, I decided to take a break for traveling while I'm still young.

Traveled across Canada for 10 months, worked in Cambodia for 4 months and right now I have 3 weeks of traveling ahead of me before returning to the Netherlands again...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Most of the time I travel through workaway (similair to WWOOFing). I've heard good stories from friends who've done couchsurfing before, so I've decided to give it a try too. I like meeting new people and share stories.. It is nice to hang out with locals and 'escape' the touristic parts.

I am pretty much interested and open in all there is! Since I live in Europe, and we have some of the best festivals, I enjoy going to festivals and discover new things.

I love music and going to concerts. Depending on my mood I can listen to anything from sweet-sappy-lovesongs to jazz to great guitar riffs in metal.

Although I find watching television less attractive these days, I still love channels as Discovery/NGC or just a good movie or tv-show (latest favorite: Orange is the New Black on Netflix).

I like being busy, mentally or physically (although it's sometimes nice to play a couchpotato).
Growing up in the Netherlands I did biking, horseback riding, ballroom dancing and karate. The past 10 months in Canada I've been trying out downhill mountain biking, surfing and snowboarding. Love it!

And I can play a little bit on the guitar.

Stopped everything back at home in the Netherlands to travel and enjoy life as much as I can... Starting now in stead of after retirement ;)
