About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Truth seeker

ABOUT ME

I'm a half-french born in Africa and while having fun with my African friends during my childhood, I soon understood that there are many different ways of thinking about life and I quickly became interested in cross-culture.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe a lot may be learnt from each other, and I enjoy sharing my own experience.
I believe each way has its pros and cons, involving good and bad sides. So I like to take what is good and leave the rest.
Bruce Lee's philosophy perfectly fits my way of thinking: "research your own experience, absorb what is useful, discard what is useless, and add what is essentially your own".
Or "don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up to now, I've had my best Couchsurfing experiences with Alexander in Danemark and Reed in Seattle.
I've couchsurfed many other places, including Korea, Germany and Japan.
I have also hosted many friends from Japan, Korea, America and Ireland.

Interests

Sports (martial arts: Jeet Kune Do, Judo and Capoeira. Swimming, trampoline), piano, IT, role-playing games (had been a role game master for years), planes and flight simulators, some FPS's like Payday 2 or CoD zombies, old sailing ships (said pirates, mate?), religions, conspiracy theories. I am also a fan of the DeLorean and the Bricklin. Last but not least, I'm a great fan of tea.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I like lots of different kind of music, but I don't listen to them the same amount of time. I like pop music (Sia, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson, Twenty One Pilots...), movies' soundtracks (Two Steps From Hell, Future World Music...), some electro-swing (Caro Emerald, Parov Stelar), some dance, Rock, classical music, and also some more "hardcore stuff" (Rammstein, Die Antwoord...).

Movies:
I like documentaries and action movies (e.g. Zeitgeist, Earthlings, Masaru Emoto, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Green Mile, Apocalypto, Wild Tales, John Carter, Jupiter Ascending, The lord of the ring, Sleepy Hollow, Flyboys and Brotherhood/Taegukgi...). While these are mostly modern Hollywood blockbusters, I also enjoy to watch different movies, e.g. Gentlemen of Fortune, The Naked Island...
I am keen on Lost, Prison Break, Stargate, Smallville, The Twilight Zone (original ed.), The 4400, Robot Chicken...
I also enjoy watching Downtown from Matsumoto and Hamada.

Books:
I read lots of books which may be deemed esoteric (Osho Rajneesh, Zecharia Sitchin, Allan Kardec, Drunvalo Melchizedek, Ian Xel Lungold, Hongbing Song, Katrina Raphaell, Serge Boutboul, Linda Howe, Rhonda Byrne, Erik Hornung, Gerald Gardner...). Not much novels though. My favorites are The last of the Mohicans and Musashi.
As for Japanese mangas, I like Zipang, Death Note, GTO...
