About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bicycle tour to Israel that I have started on 30.11.2011

ABOUT ME

I have worked two years in New Delhi until mid of 2010 and then in Germany again. Before that I travelled one and a half years through North, Middle and South America. Before that I worked one and a half years in Beijing. I grew up in a small town near Hamburg where my parents are still living. My twin sister is living on the Azores and my older brother is living in the very north of Germany.

PHILOSOPHY

To live a simple but valuable life and to find happiness in using my imagination, in meeting my friends and new people and in enjoying the nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only surfed so far and will do it for some time more during my cycling tour. Once I finally settle down I hope that I can give all my great experiences back to you guys and girls and will become a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very positive!

Interests

Traveling, reading (especially the books of authors of the countries that I have visited), swimming, sitting in cafes and chatting with people, exploring cities and landscapes by walking and recently riding on my bicycle.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently I saw the movie Dogville from Lars von Trier. I really liked it and had to think about it for some time. I have read several books of the author Paul Auster and like all music in which a guitar is part of it. Recently I heard Jesse Cook, David Bowie, Queen, Jonny Cash and Kings of Leon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A smile from a 84 years old lady with her grandgrandchild sleeping on her knees. To climb the Aconcagua in Argentina. To sleep in my tent and to wake up in the morning with the sun shining on it.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach? How to cycle in winter and how to find always a good place for camping :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Chile

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, India
