About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To build an extensive social life that spans across Europe.

ABOUT ME

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Europe.
This is where I want to live. The majority of this continent is uncharted territory for me.

I'm a graduate student here in Krakow. I'm doing my Masters in European Studies. Now you see that I really love Europe ;)

Europe is my final frontier. It's my land of opportunity. I came to Europe to reach my full, true potential and to create a better life for myself. I truly feel like I can do whatever I want here and that the sky is really the limit.

This is the first time I've actually been able to host, so I figured I'd give it a try and get some new experiences.

If you send a couch surfing request to me, you accept that: I am gay and I don't cook. If we can get past that part, I invite you to stay at my apartment for a night or 2 :)
Or maybe I'm placing too much emphasis on sexuality and a lot of people are actually ok with spending the night with a gay guy? LOL

PHILOSOPHY

Follow your dreams! I'm where I am now because I followed my dreams :)

Random facts:

1. My best subject is geography. Give me a blank map of the world, and I can label about 90% of the countries of the world.

2. I'm obsessed with the idea of going to Belarus. I'm going to Minsk for a few days at some point in the near future (visa permitting).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting. Maybe even surfing with like minded people during travels.

I like cultural exchange, but probably not the same things that others like. I'm not into touristy things, trying local food, or sitting in cafes drinking coffee and trying local desserts. I'm more into just being where I am, local money (I'm very much into finance), nightlife, local drinks, and meeting new people. I'm not a coffee drinker, I'm a beer drinker! :)

I'm not much of a tour guide, but I decided that maybe I should be for the sake of new experiences and hosting. It's sort of what Couch Surfing is all about. It's providing more than just a couch. Personally, I'm ok with seeing the famous monument from a distance without actually standing in line for hours to get in and get tours. But I know that you, as a visitor, will want to see things. I know where everything is and can show you around (within reasonable time, distance, etc.). Or I can show you how to get there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only negative I see with Couchsurfing is when the host and surfer part ways. This is especially after I've hosted a surfer who I really clicked well with and who I could possibly be friends with. Reality hits when they must leave and that they are only here for a day or 2. I suppose that this could also be a positive experience.

Interests

I love going to bars. I like to drink. If you surf with me, I could take you to a few of my favorite spots.
I used to party a lot when I was younger. I like the occasional party, but mostly I like to go to bars and have drinks.
I like discussing politics, finance, sexuality issues, exchange rates, price of living in other places, things like that. So if you are from another country that I've never been to, I will ask you price of living and exchange rate questions. Be warned! :)

Oh, and let's not forget...European guys! You guys are the best! I love you all :)
and yes, I do have favorites. That can be a topic of discussion if we meet :)
