About Me
Friendly person who loves to hear the sound of her own voice too much!
Just finished my masters in Human Anatomy in Edinburgh University.
I really enjoy meeting new people and sharing our life stories and experiences!
PS please send messages as requests as I might not see normal messages!! I would love to host you and it would be a shame to miss that opportunity if I didn't see your message!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love sharing my room with people!! I grew up sharing a room with 3 younger siblings, i know how to have a good time in a crowded room whispering so your parents (in this case, flatmates) don't wake up ;)
There's should never be an opportunity to miss with well traveled people and their stories, advice and failures. The interactions we make with the people we choose to associate ourselves with are the interactions that will shape our lives and our philosophies.
I would also like to go travelling for a while after I graduate or during holidays etc... and what better way to know a city then to stay with a local, I'll lend you the same respect and familiarity as a guest as I would if you were in my house as my guest :)
Interests
Sports (all kinds, but I enjoy running and volleyball a lot. HATE swimming but love watersports... doesn't make sense, but yea...)
Travelling, learning new things and watching foreign films (they are always better than hollywood blockbusters...)
The rest is for you to find out as my guest!
- dancing
- running
- movies
- reading
- traveling
- sports
- volleyball
- swimming
- anatomy
- languages

Teach, Learn, Share
I study human anatomy and love telling people fun facts about their bodies. The body is such an amazing thing and I think we take the little things for granted sometimes! Also as an anatomist I could be useful if you have an injury and would like to know the cause of pain (unfortunately that's all I'm useful for, and I can tell you whether or not it's serious enough to get professional medical advice!).
I studied medical sciences as well, there were many subjects I really enjoyed learning and reading about, especially neuroanatomy and neuroscience in general. I've done research on a debilitating motor neuron disease called ALS (you may have heard of it from the 'ice bucket challenge), this summer I was involved in some exciting research that could help our understanding of Parkinson's pathology and am looking forward to doing more research on the mysteries of the body and brain. I get excited about understanding the mechanisms behind how things happen, not only at a scientific level but in many other fields.
I like to learn something new from people. I think that to learn from someone who is passionate about something is such a wonderful way to experience life! I've been 'educated' on the process of how whiskey is made (as well as to tell the difference between a good or bad whiskey) as well as to whistle with my hands to things like dancing salsa. There are so many things that someone else can teach you, and I hope that I can teach others a thing or two as well!
On another note, a favorite hobby of mine is learning languages! If you can speak another language which is not English or Chinese, I would love to sort out a language exchange system!!
