About Me
I was born in Metlakatla, Alaska, the only reservation in the state. When I was 10 years old I moved to a small, but picturesque island on the Aleutian Chain called Unalaska. I have 3 dogs, one cat, and 7 nieces and nephews (with one on the way!), all of whom I love with every ounce of my soul. I enjoy hiking (in any weather as long as I have appropriate clothing) and lifting weights (ever so moderately). I love the holidays! And because I love the holidays you will always find something festive in my home pertaining to that holiday. Halloween is one of my top 3 favorite holidays but I believe costumes aren't just for Halloween. I also love festivals and themed parties because I love to decorate and dress up for them, too. I have very little cooking experience because I had a wonderfully skilled mother and a partner who wouldn't let me touch the stove. However, it is my life-long dream to be a master in the kitchen. I try my hardest to eat plant-based foods but when you live on an island far from pretty much anything and everything, fruits and veggies are quite expensive. I equally appreciate lounging on a couch as well as being active outdoors. I play volleyball, basketball, and I like to swim in the ocean...but not the Bering Sea. I like to relax by listening to ASMR videos, particularly those made by Gentlewhispering. I really get a kick out of experimenting with my hair (I am currently growing out my mohawk). I love to work with youth whether it's empowering themselves and spreading respect or simply hiking or rafting (kids, youth, and teens dig me). I am an ally to the LGBTQ community, I am pro-equality, and I believe in non violence, which is why my passion lies in helping to eradicate gender violence with youth and teens. I am a feminist. And I love dogs. Specifically my dogs. But any pup will do.
