Music, Movies, and Books

Some Music: Jazz, world, classical, extreme ambient, noise. Im a jazz trained drummer and at this point drumless music is best for me.

Some Books: Nieztsche, critical theory, Bukowski, McLuhan. As a kid, I liked How Things Work and How To Lie With Statistics because they broke the rules.

Some Movies (recently): everything by Michael Haneke (so raw) or Yargos Lanthimos (to get wrekt). I'm a sucker for no-narrative films (Abendland, Tree of Life). Crap movies are fun with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, there hasn't been a jar I haven't been able to open by hand.
And seriously: my students from war-torn countries blow my mind everyday.

I teach rhetoric, media, and communication courses and it never gets repetitive to me. Always something new to see. Im addicted to learning about the various systems we live in.
