About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching primary kids and taking opportunities to travel in holidays.

ABOUT ME

I tell hilarious/awful jokes.

Primary school teacher in one of the greatest cities in the world!
I enjoy travelling when I can: I've been all over the world but still have so many places I want to see.

I love cooking, and get weirdly defensive and patriotic about British food. It's really not that bad! I can cook you the best roast potatoes you've ever had.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd say live fast, die young, but actually I'm quite keen on living to a ripe old age.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet new people and experience foreign places through the eyes of the locals, not just as a tourist. I love sharing stories and experiences, so even if I don't surf with somebody I always like to try to meet up with other travellers and couchsurfers while I'm away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed, although not for a while, when I was travelling around North America, and I've also hosted a few times in London, although not since moving into my current house. My couchsurfing experience now is normally through the local meetups.

Interests

Sports in particular, but seeing new things is always good. I'm a Liverpool fan, and a Toronto FC fan :)

I enjoy travelling and I'm hoping to get about even more now I'm teaching as I can make the most of the holidays. (Although they're not as long as you'd think!)

I enjoy films, TV and music in equal measure, but have what I'd call a fairly eclectic taste - but what most people would say was still very mainstream!

I love reading, particularly books about education, which I'm passionate about, and is more than just a job for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite books: A Tale of Two Cities, To Kill a Mockingbird, Flowers for Algenon, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Favourite music is quite eclectic, although I recently saw Fleetwood Mac in concert which was amazing!

Favourite movie: The Shawshank Redemption. Cliche, I know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Broke both arms at the same time in a quadbike accident. I sped over the only bump in Manitoba.
I also climbed up Kilimanjaro a couple of years ago, which was really tough. Altitude sickness is the worst...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make perfect roast potatoes.

Also the secret to the perfect high five.

I need to learn how to say, "How much is a beer?" in every language.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Tanzania, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, United Kingdom
