PHILOSOPHY
If we are here not to do / what you and I want to do /and go forever crazy with it / why the hell we are even here?! Ya!! -Gogol Bordello
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference. -Reinhold Niebuhr
Storms that come in quickly, tend to leave quickly. Storms that come in slowly tend to leave slowly. -Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
I cannot believe the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate. I think it is above all to count, to stand for something. To have it make some difference that you lived at all. -Leo Rosten
That which was shall be again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been spreading the good word about CS as I travel. As a couch-surfer, I share my Jewish-American culture and world experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met CSers for coffee in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Cairo. Each connection was great. Zoe was a fantastic first CS experience -- she really got me excited for more. Tzip and I connected briefly; I hope we can chat again! Sherif gave me an excellent, quick tour of a Cairo neighborhood.
I surfed in Istanbul at Gozde and Meral's place. Those ladies were incredible hostesses! They took me around town, fed me baklava, and gave me my own room! As a thank you I cooked them some American food: gumbo!
Interests
My goal in life is to be an entrepreneur. I love sports -- soccer and ultimate frisbee in particular. I'm an avid city cyclist

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the power of Iguazu Falls in Argentina was spectacular. I never knew such a thing was possible.
I'm very proud that I got a job in a research lab in the Basque Country in Spain and that I've learned to be fluent in Spanish.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching and learning. I've been an informal English language tutor for friends for more than 10 years, so I'm always looking for a language exchange. I'm passionate about business, so I also like to exchange suggestions and insights.
