About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Driving cross country, meeting new people, exploring our national parks.
ABOUT ME
After working 10 years in international relocation, I've recently set off across the globe to find out where I want to be. I spent 2 months in Europe before the weather sent me "home". When I arrived I felt the urge to flee once more into the unknown. I've been traveling around the US for 5 months, visiting National Parks, friends and family. Everyone has suggested couch surfing in major cities on the west coast might be an ideal way to experience life out here. I'm originally from Massachusetts, and this trip has been my first experience with the differences between east and west coasts. What an amazing difference it is, I associate much more easily with the laid back, accepting culture of the west coast than I do with people back East. I'm looking forward to learning more about the west coast, and the people who are lucky enough to call it home.
PHILOSOPHY
Follow your dreams, be who you want to be, never give up, and remember that money can't buy happiness. I've been passionate about scuba diving since I was certified as a kid. I dream about some day being able to dive for a living. I left Boston to push myself into making this dream a reality. It's a career that won't make me wealthy, but I'll be rich with happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to the CS community, and currently traveling around the US in my truck. When I settle down, I'll be sure to open my couch to surfers. Friends in the community have said it's a great experience. I'm very excited to see where CS takes me. I think there's a large part of the population who's too comfortable at home, that may never get to experience all of the treasures this world has to offer. I hope I can share my love of traveling with others, and inspire the desire to get out there and see the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been talking with friends who've surfed and hosted, who say it's easier than I think. I was skeptical about surfing at the beginning of this trip, because I was traveling with my brother. I thought there would be a slim chance anyone would host two 25 yr old men. My friends said I'm wrong, and so I've decided to join. He's leaving me next week and I'll be exploring the west coast alone. We've been staying with friends and family on and off, as well as camping for the last 5 months. I'm a low impact guest, with my own car, just looking for somewhere to crash and shower.

Teach, Learn, Share
Working with such a diverse client base, I learned a lot about how to go with the flow. Everyone is different, we do things differently, see things differently, experience life in way's which are sometimes difficult to comprehend. It's important to keep an open mind, and attempt to understand and appreciate our differences.
