About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To stay present, compassionate, fearless, accepting and humble while carrying out worldly tasks. (I often fail.) Keep learning and growing along the path. Be the path.
Be the best Dad, Husband, friend and employee I can. Not letting imperfection get me down.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in western Canada. I did well in school and was quite obedient. I became quite passionate about environmental issues. I started university then got the opportunity to travel around Europe and South-East Asia for 2.5 years. This was very inspiring and eye opening in my early twenties. Spirituality and meditation became a big part of my life. I continued formal schooling. I learned a lot from psychedelic guides. I continued to backpack other parts of the world until it started to feel less right. I felt less curious and the desire for roots and nesting developed. While working in the bush of Northern Alberta I met a beautiful women who has taught me so much. I am now a house holder, a father and a husband and I’m trying my best to embrace athe teachings of this path.

PHILOSOPHY

The idea that there are many paths resonates deeply with me. I feel it offers a framework where we can learn from each other instead of trying to change each other.
"There is a path to accommodate every heart" - Ramakrishna
I think we all need different things, ideas, truths along the way.
For me this life is about learning and growing, returning home, realizing what we truly are.
We are all teachers and students.
We have control over our reality in how we react to our circumstances. What we tell ourselves.
I think accepting ourselves, our circumstances, each other is an empowering and powerful gift.
It's not what we do, but how we do it. Why not choose to be happy/content/ at peace right now? It is hard at times, practice helps.
Many sources and experiences have shown me the Unity of all things and I suspect holding this wisdom while living each day lends many teachings and guidance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A year of my life I was traveling through many countries from Sweden to Bangladesh by land. It was an amazing learning experience for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to never stop learning.
I know some bicycle mechanics, music, biology, vegetarian cooking (although I don't think I do it justice), ways in which to reduce our impact on mother earth, slacklining, skateboarding, canning fruit, yoga and meditation, some info about cleanses.

I'm interested in learning more about carpentry, spirituality, agriculture (especially small scale local organic), yoga and would love to hear what is inspiring you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my listening ear, perspectives if wanted, and stories.
I'm happy to help out with projects or chores and cook a good meal.
