About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a huge procrastinator, and apparently that also means I'm pretty impulsive. I like to think of it as spontaneous.

I lived in rural Ecuador for 8 months, where I learned Spanish. My family is from South India, and I have traveled to India many times with my family.

I'm studying political science and chemistry at university. I love community service and organize a large event on campus to insulate homes in the area. I also sing in the college concert choir--I joined choir on a whim my sophomore year in high school and was hooked. I tutor local students as well.

I'm a vegetarian and I've never eaten meat or fish in my life! It's tricky when traveling, and when trying to respect local customs, but it always makes for great conversation about religious differences, meat culture in the US, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I've traveled quite a bit, I haven't traveled alone before--I'm looking to meet people and form lasting friendships!

While my family's apartment is too small to take in guests, I would love to show visitors around New York!

Interests

I'm enthusiastic about EVERYTHING--anyone is welcome to talk my ear off about whatever they are passionate about.
