ABOUT ME

This is my second attempt at CouchSurfing; the first was not a success. Lots of 'dudes' chatting me up & that is not my purpose here. Ideally, I'd like to meet like minded people for good times. Wait, that read a bit naughty

I love to try new things, especially when traveling. While I am a big fan of a tourist spot, I prefer to immerse myself locally in an effort to obtain the most honest of experiences. I am hoping the Couch Surfing community will give me more of an opportunity to do this in my future travels.

I am pretty flexible and not as high maintenance as some. I love living on the road, in fancy hotel, moderately scary motels, camping, and anything in between.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe playing dress up is for adults, as well as children; breeding is not obligatory; body modifications can improve most person’s appearance.

I’m a confused mix of liberal and prude, old fashioned and women's lib.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is totally new to me. I am hoping the Couch Surfing community will give me more of an opportunity to meet new people, learn about different cultures, experience new things, and share the same for visitors in my land.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My good friend (Darci) has shown me the light and through her experience, I have met a few couch surfers. Thus far, all has gone well. Darci was even in the local newspaper for her involvement!

Interests

I am a workaholic and nerd (I love Excel & crossword puzzles – don’t judge).

I prefer being warm (even hot) over being cold.

I enjoy modern, performance, & installation art, as well as architecture; I crazy love old stuff – antiquities, vintage items, historical facts and stories, and so on.

I drink too much coffee & too little water. I will eat it if it isn’t a strange body part that I can recognize, it is alive, or obviously a bug. Well, I might eat a bug.

Pet peeves are: smacking, know-it-all/show-offs, & brats.
I abhor injustice & racism, and avoid the news and politics for both reasons.

I love a roller coaster, but always get sick afterwards.

I’m nuts for Christmas and Halloween!

I love to take pictures – bad pictures. I am terrible at photography!

I am not proud of this, but I snort when I laugh.

I have a terrible memory & get lost almost daily.

I might be hyper-active.

I become an introvert if apart of a group that I am not familiar with.

I have a dry sense of humor that leans toward the inappropriate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I heart funny movies (Mel Brooks is a genius), as well as horror & gore, but I don’t watch TV shows.

I like to have my own soundtrack, so I try to keep music on at all times – unless it is American country, American pop, and some hip-hop/rap. Can’t find a place for those. I prefer hardcore, punk, indie, classical, some world.....

As far as books go, I like the classical stuff like Hesse, Voltaire, Dante....I also like some new stuff like AJ Jacob's series, or Thud! & Good Omen's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sunset, while driving through the clouds on Haleakala. It was potentially the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hm - I can teach you about my culture, my lifestyle, where I live, and probably some other stuff I can't think of right now.

I can teach you to play the piano!
Or use excel (nerd, remember?).
