Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People fascinate me. I like to know what makes them who they are. I love to find out why they think what they do.

I am hoping that couch surfing will let me be more connected to the places I visit. I love the idea of learning the things only locals know.

What is in the tourist guidebooks isn't all that interesting. You won't ever find me at the Hard Rock Cafe, but you might find me in a local dive having coffee and eating breakfast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In one of my corporate jobs, I once rented the Presidential Suite at the Palace Hotel in New York under an assumed name. I ordered food and set up a beautiful banquet in the dining room. Once everything was ready, I left and turned the keys over to someone else. (My company's CEO wanted to secretly meet with the CEO of another company.)
