About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To teach- to fund travel :)
ABOUT ME
I like exploring- camping, 4wding, roadtrips, bushwalks. I'm a nature lover. A qualified teacher looking to get work in order to fund my extensive travel dreams!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is boring if you have no desire to explore beyond your home (too many of my friends are like this!)
Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’ll spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.” – Albert Einstein
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've met some interesting people in the past through Couchsurfing and would like to meet more. It's great learning about different countries and cultures, and obviously great to have shared adventures!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a few Couchsurfers stay with me in the past. Was meant to meet several Couch Surfers on my Asia trip but plans changed. Like to stay in touch with these people!
Interests
Travelling obviously... geography and environmental science- I have a degree in it and had some amazing times doing environmental work both in Aus and NZ. Then changed my mind about environmental employment and went into Primary School Teaching- another interest. I'd love to teach kids to read!

Music, Movies, and Books
Love the 'Tomorrow When the War Began' series and 'Ellie Chronicles' by John Marsden. Once, Then, After and Now by Morris Gleitzmen, Harry Potter- obviously :) The Hobitt/ Lord of the Rings- ah New Zealand scenery! Heidi- Swiss Alps! <3 Travel books- preferably the ones with plenty of amazing pictures. Brilliant kids books like those by Dr Seuss, Steve Smallman etc etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I really enjoyed doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing in NZ and spending time at Mt Cook national park. Both were beautiful. The way of life on the Mekong Delta- fascinating! Oh and I live in Tasmania so I'm lucky there as well!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to pick up some European language to help me out when I eventually make it over there! Always love meeting people who work in education and have shared experiences. Generally anyone that is interesting and can teach me cool stuff :)
Countries I’ve Visited
Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Viet Nam
