ABOUT ME
Unfortunately Couchsurfing has completely neutered the old profiles, but part of it(because they couldn't be bothered to preserve it entirely) can be seen here:
https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/5359170/profile/legacy
Because of the above neutering most of links I have there don't work anymore, so please excuse the mess until I clean it up. =(
Dreamer, visionary, not one who follows societal norms, but then if the world is crazy, why should I?
The world needs me - even if they don't realize it yet :D - So I feel a great inspiration to teach the world in order that the vision of all beings living harmoniously free becomes manifest.
As a minimalist and environmentalist, I despise cheap plastic junk and consumerism in general, but some things I can't live without such as a laptop. I'm interested in anything congruent with natural and eco-friendly living. Humanity is at a dangerous point in our relationship to the planet and I'd like to give you the tools to fix that.
I'm vegetarian for both ethical and health reasons as well as aiming to be 100% raw (and I hope you won't tempt me with cooked food), so don't expect me to eat out(unless it's raw food) with you, drink coffee, coke, pepsi as I would like to be around in another 100 years. It's not that I don't love you, rather I love my body(and those of my fellow creatures in the world as eating where dead bodies are served is like attending a funeral) in order that I can love all of you better. This is also why I only accept non-smokers for hosting or surfing, I can't be flexible on this issue, sorry.
I personally love all fresh tropical fruit, durians and mangoes are tops in my book! Would love to go on a fruit "hunting expedition" with you. I can also show you how to prepare raw food dishes that will nourish your cells.
I'm spiritual but have no use for organized religious dogma in any form. If you're a yoga teacher that would be cool as I like to do some serious yoga practice at this point and would love your assistance.
Importantly for my fellow travellers I'm very skilled in the art of the frugal journey. Lots of travel tips for you, just ask!
If I would ever surf with you, don't worry I can adjust to a fair number of situations, just as I would expect you to as well, though I think it important to have reasonable commonality of thought with any potential host.
I am quiet to talkative according to the flow of things. No subject is off limits as long as it's done respectfully.
If you play scrabble then you've found a worthy opponent.
As I need to work online often I ask that if I surf your couch a good wifi connection or access to the internet is very much appreciated.
I choose not to put personal photos up at this time due to harassment/privacy, you may however cheerfully ask me for one! :)
PHILOSOPHY
If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything!
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss
Don't believe what I say, but believe WHAT I DO!!
ROOMMATE SITUATION
My only roommates are gecko lizards - completely harmless. =)
What I Can Share With Guests:
ANYTHING EXCEPT MY BONE MARROW OR VITAL ORGANS.
IF BY CHANCE YOU'RE A VAMPIRE OR UN-DEAD CONTACT YOUR LOCAL RED CROSS, THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP YOU, BUT i KINDA DOUBT IT! =o
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ACCESS:
There are no real buses here - the closest things are the dark blue painted songthaews which operate like taxis and are very expensive considering the short distances involved so a bicycle is a great way to get around but be careful of local traffic. Hopefully in future I may provide(or perhaps someone will donate :) ) bicycles for visiting couchsurfers. Hitchhiking is your best option, eventually you will be picked up by a private vehicle. And then you have to make sure it's free in case they are acting like an unlicensed taxi.
Additional Information
I HITCHHIKE TO BANGKOK EVERY NOW AND THEN IF YOU CARE TO JOIN ME :)
I CAN ALSO SHARE MY ROOM AT THE GUESTHOUSES I STAY IN WHILE TRAVELLING IN SINGAPORE OR MALAYSIA OR CAMBODIA AS WELL AS IT'S USUALLY TOO TIME CONSUMING TO FIND HOSTS.
THE RULES FOR SURFERS:
Now if you're among the 98% of Koh Phangan couchsurfers looking for a typical "non-stop full moon party all the time" couchsurfing experience THIS MOST CERTAINLY ISN'T it! For the rest of you please read on...
My couch has a strict NO-smoking policy ... sorry!
Health seekers only, so absolutely NO smokers/drugs allowed! (we can smell it on your body even if you do so away from the house).
The vibe of the house is all about living, so nothing "dead" in here please, which means alcohol and/or cooked food may only be consumed outside away from the house.
As much as I'd like to I'm UNABLE to offer free food for surfers so be prepared to spend up to $5/day for food and miscellaneous expenses.
This is a CLOTHES-FREE house so you are expected to go clothes-free during your stay with me, both at the home and on the beach as well as during hiking. The weather here is warm enough so that you'll be comfortable. I am a naturist/nudist and sometimes will meet with other nudists(who aren't couchsurfers). Newbies are welcome but it's good idea if you google nudism and understand more about it, and sincerely would like to participate before coming. Also I recommend you watch:
16yr old naturist Interviewed about nudism
What is Nudism?
The Naturist Society - Interview with Amanda The Naturist Society - Interview with Doug The Naturist Society - Interview with Karen The Naturist Society - Interview with Scott and finally and MOST IMPORTANT We are huggers:
Free Hugs Campaign Official Page Free Hugs Campaign in Venezuela from Leo Buscaglia(circa 1980) who has been inspirational (watch all 10 of this set)
Ask me to send you the free hugging ebook too, I'll need an email address from you of course.
I am building a house of LOVE
so I want to know those who want to share in it. Now it's not like you're staying here forever(or you may decide later though you want to!), so why not try it a few days?
Do expect though to be treated with love and compassion and respect by myself and by others who are visiting. You are safe here. And communication is very important to make this a positive experience for everybody.
AROUND PHANGAN: So of course I know the nude swimming spots :) There are some yoga schools here as well. There are no real buses - the closest things are the blue painted songthaews which operate like taxis and are very expensive considering the short distances involved so a bicycle is a great way to get around but be careful of local traffic. Hopefully in future I may provide(or perhaps someone will donate :) ) bicycles for visiting couchsurfers. Hitchhiking is your best option, eventually you will be picked up by a private vehicle. I'm up for 10 km walks/hikes with you also. There aren't any pets at the moment as it's rather unfair to have them as I still need to travel out of Thailand fairly often.
I sleep less than 6 hours a day(largely due to good diet), usually 12:30am - 6am. So no noise between those times.
How long you stay depends upon our mutual comfort level.
Aside from the rules/general principles, you may come and go as you wish and my vision of community is about the FREEDOM to live naturally unhindered by silly societal constructs. If you hang around the house/couch do expect to interact with myself and whoever else is present and let myself/others teach you or let you teach me/others.
Be sure to put "I'VE GOT NOTHING TO HIDE" in your couchsurfing request, please do watch the videos or tell me about something else in the profile so that I can be sure you've read it completely and understood everything. I'll sadly have to ignore your request if you don't.
TO ALL HOSTS:
Well as stated above I only stay with those who are genuinely non-smokers.
As it's your home I'm not bothered by what you eat or don't eat. Nor am I going to go naked either, unless we're on the same page with it. I would appreciate hugging you though as I can't feel connected with you unless I do.
ABOUT MEET UPS:
Again, I generally meet up with those who are genuinely non-smokers. However, if I make an exception, please do not smoke anywhere near me. ;)
If you've read the rest of the profile, you'll know we won't be going to night clubs or anything like that. There are a lot of other activities to pursue. Ultimate Frisbee meetups look pretty exciting right now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By giving you a chance to learn how to really live in as natural a manner as possible with safety and confidence. In other words I don't bite!! :D
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Quite a bit over the years, long before there was couchsurfing.org
Interests
Animals(cats are especially cool), art, cycling, fasting, living simply, growing my own food, magnetism, natural energy, soft music, solar gazing, sacred geometry, spring water and most importantly hugging and loving people.
I can read all day. I've got 1000's of books on pdf so I don't think I'll ever catch up. Every time I read a book there's at LEAST another two new ones to be read.
Love a good arthouse film as long as it's uncensored, as I'm really disgusted when they butcher a film.
Oh yeah I also play scrabble and other thinking games.
