ABOUT ME

I have been a piece of driftwood all my life. My Mother, Sister and I moved more times than I care to remember. It has sort of defined my nature. Because of this, my life has taken to a 4-5 year cycle in which i get itchy feet and need to explore. I was born in the year of the Wood Tiger and am a Libra, so go figure. I am pushed around the world by the wind like a message in a bottle. I have spent the last 5 years monastically. I have been alone so long that I have almost forgotten what it means to love. Almost. The last 5 years has been devoted to Martial Arts and finding the parts of me lost to the Chaos of Vesuvius(last love disaster). My Guitar has saved my life. My Gardening has enriched me as I am a nurturer by nature. I am the Willow tree which bends in the wind yet does not break. I'm still here, aren't I? Live and Let Live. Love and let Love, for to love is to truly live. GOD is love. pure and simple. I am GOD because I love. So are you all GOD as you can love another soul. Can you Grok it? (sorry Mr. Heinlen). I suggest you the reader of this profile grab a copy of Stranger in a Strange Land and enjoy and incredible story that speaks our struggle to reconcile our fear of eternity. PHILOSOPHY

I am a studying Padawan who was NOT too old to begin the training! George Lucas based Star Wars on an old Kung-Fu flick. The Force is basically Taoism and or Buddhism so I guess I am by default a Taoist or Buddhist. Ultimately, I believe we were created by more advanced beings who used the "clay" of the earth(earliest Man) to create the manual laborers to help them in their plight to save their planet from atmospheric destruction. I do not believe they were "gods" at all. What would a primitive person make of an atmospheric landing craft falling from the sky? It would blow their minds!
Furthermore, I believe what Jesus Christ accomplished was not what the Bible tells, but has been modified by the Institution most interested in maintaining their power, the Church. Jesus was a Rebel who tried to liberate the people from the fear of God(Universal Power comprised of all life, a.k.a the Force)because He knew there is a Higher Power than the god of Abraham. A truly benevolent being would not commit the atrocities of Sodom and Gammorah(Nuclear and Biological weapons!)A truly benevolent being would not rule through fear and tyranny. Nor would a truly benevolent being choose favorites amongst the created. Hence, why as a 3yr old boy, the Force made more sense to me. Sorry Mom, I love you but I really think that 98% of the religions of the world speak of a Master and Slave relationship. I may have to exist as a wage slave, but my spirit is free from fear and full of love for Life

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Elena Sanz(ELSABORNFREE) hosted me in Astigarraga for a few days during my first CS stay. Que Bueno! Elena was the soul of welcoming. She cooked me a meal of Mussels Risotto when I arrived. My last night, I cooked for her a Spaghetti Carbonara Boscaiola. Yes, it was a variacion de una thema.
My most recent CS was with Tobias(ALKOHOLSCHUGGLER) in Donostia. We all went out for pintxos and party! I regretted that just a little the next day! I haven't partied that hard in 5years

Musica, film e libri

I started playing guitar when I found Yngwie "Fucking" Malmsteen, I started playing flamenco flavored music when I found Strunz and Farah. OMG! the way they intertwine their melody lines is Magic. I listen to a lot of Flamenco(Vicente Amigo is another fav)and Operatic Metal(Therion and Lacuna Coil are my favs) My preferred music is quality. No Shwag please! Meaning that I will listen to pretty much anything but am bored by lackluster music. Prefab music is bad for your mental health and stunts your spiritual growth. I suppose every musical group is doing good work when someone finds value and connection to it, so I apologize for my presumption. I love Muse as they are the band that I could first sing AND play without messing up one or the other(tai-chi helped), I really like Porcupine Tree, I love Opeth. They are they epitome of light meshing with dark to me. "Read Slave Species of god" by Michel Tellinger, it will challenge your foundations so don't read it unless you are ready to lose your illusions! I love Tom Robbins' work especially "Jitterbug Perfume" and "Skinny Legs and All" I am a big fan of Sr. Giovanni Depp and have been since 21 Jump Street. Obviously I like kung-fu flicks. The older and cheesier, the better for giggle factor. For serious viewing I look to Tony Jaa and Jet Li. Jackie Chan gets my vote for best, though. He knows so much and does his own stunts and has set the tone for years in Hong Kong. All time favorite movies are the Star Wars movies episodes V,VI,IV,III in that order. I saw Star Wars A New Hope in the theater when it first came out. May the Force Be With You.....Always.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Ever Since my mother quilted me a 17th birthday quilt I have been haunted by a vision of Grace in Spain. This woman that I love more than life itself but have not met in this life has done more to sabotage my relations than I care to admit. The legend goes that when someone dreams under a friendship quilt for the first time, they will receive a vision of their truelove. I had that happen. It wasn't until recently that I knew where to be to encounter Her. I seriously believe that the events in my life have led me to this point in time and only now am I ready for this chapter. So the last relationship of mine resulted in the still-birth of my firstborn. My fiance' at the time and I named him Sebastian, I chose Regalo on an Impulse when the nurse asked for a middle name(regalo is gift in Spanish) and sang my sorrow to him as I pressed the button to cremate him and release him. So some time passes and our relationship breaks apart on the shores of Bellingham Bay in Washington State where I meet a brother from another mother who was very traveled. So whilst Partying at Seths' house i was looking at all his pics n postcards and one kept pulling my attention. When I asked him where the beautiful city on the bay with an island in the middle of it was, his face lit up and he went on a long litany about how all his experiences in Spain were pretty bad(stabbed in the gut and Mugged), his entire experience was saved in the city of San Sebastian. When he said "San Sebastian" it felt as if a ghost reached in and touched my heart and I almost blacked out. I can only surmise that this was the unseen influence of my Son, Sebastian. I didn't know where to go until he told me. He gave me the gift of True Grief so I will always cherish that which is most precious in this life. It is impossible to know unbridled Joy without True Grief. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. So I am here in San Sebastian because a ghost told me to come here. Not everything can be seen with the naked eye. Some can only be seen with the third eye. I don't need to see the air to breathe it and Know it is there. Follow?

I can teach English, Hell, its my Last name for crying out loud! I can teach Tai-Chi(I am not a master yet,but will achieve my black belt next), Foot-Bag, Bass and Guitar, Gardening, Cooking and proper technique in the kitchen. I would learn everything I could as you stop living only when you stop learning. I share everything I have for it is meaningless without someone to enjoy it with. It is how we honor each other, sharing.
