About Me

CURRENT MISSION

balance the real world with the travel world

ABOUT ME

Trying to balance financial stability with seeing the world, somewhere between a traditional life and the appeal of being on the road. Just did 4 months in South America and now I'm anxious to get back. (Update - got back, and anxious to get back again!)

I try to be open-minded and friendly in every situation. I love to laugh and to make people laugh. I want to play the guitar or piano with or for people all over the world. I want to have a few drinks or more with people all over the world. I strive to experience true culture and go beyond the tourist attractions.

PHILOSOPHY

Experiences over possessions. Accept people for who they are. Yoga. Do what is right. Be a good person. Smile. Make others smile. Life is good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As soon as I have a living situation that makes hosting possible I will... And plenty of browsing the site for ideas and inspiration!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Buenos Aires (and had trouble leaving!), and meeting locals for drinks in San Francisco. All of them were very positive experiences, and I plan on keeping in touch with them, they are always welcome here in the Boston area.

Interests

travel, meeting people, making people smile, new cultures, yoga, music - listening to anything, playing the guitar and piano, the local sports teams (Go Sox, Bruins!), golf, figuring out life and myself

Las Venas Abiertas de America Latina, The Magic of Thinking Big... The Alchemist, A Walk in the Woods, El Libro de los Abrazos, Vagabonding, The Four Hour Work Week, The Art of Non-Conformity, The DaVinci Code

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mountain biked the World's Most Dangerous Road, and 5 days later climbed Huayna Potosi in Bolivia (6088m)
