CURRENT MISSION

Since my(Eberhards) biking-around-Germany project is on hold at the moment due to the time of the season, we're just trying to have a good time at our home in Bielefeld.

ABOUT ME

I'm still finding out myself!
I like playing and listening to music, reading, nature, biking and walking, reading books and meeting and laughing with people.
I am in my sixties but still easy going, humorous and interested in many things.
One of our family's favourite pastimes is playing games together.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy my life for once without hurting anyone else.
Is that a philosophy already?
Nazim Hikmet, a turkish poet once said:
To live! Like a tree alone and free
Like a forest in brotherhood
This yearning is ours.
And this is something I can deeply share.
Of Course this world would deserve to be made a better place. I try to find an opportunity once in a while.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet a few people I would have otherwise never met.
My own travelling days are not quite over, indeed they might come back stronger, since I am retired now and so one of these days I might be in need of a couch again...
And I'm awaiting people to come and see Bielefeld, my almost beautiful hometown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a few guests meanwhile, all of them very nice people, did not use couch surfing much while travelling yet, but archaic real life couch surfing has always been part of my life... :-)

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

My musical taste is very broad and diverse: from singer/songwriter stuff via folk and world music to classic rock and progrock music, I like to discover new music that I like.
Not to mention books and movies. There's just too many...

Pretty many I guess, just can't think of one particular one right now...
Wait, this year I already did a seven week bike tour thru Austria, Italy, Hungary, Slowenija with my wife. That was a great trip!

I'd always like to exchange things about guitar playing.
I'm playing in a little band myself and have played acoustic and electric guitar for most of my life...
(Unfortunately not half as good as you would expect considering the time span I've done it by now...)
