Easy going. Love adventures and travels, especially those involving climbing, mountaineering, skiiing, paragliding... ;)
I grew up near the sea in Brittany but my heart belongs to mountains. Now, I live in the South of France in the Pyrenees where I'm doing a PhD in landscape ecology and, by the same time, I'm able to fulfil my need of mountain adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and confront different cultures. I also like travelling away from the classical ways (especially classic tourist areas) which alter relationship with locals. I prefer soft travelling approaches (bike, by fair means, staying with guests, etc.)

Interests

I have two main interests. The first one involve my love for nature and biology research. I'm curious and like to understand things around me. So, I like birdwatching, herping, photography... Well being outside basically ;)

My second one involve mountain sports: climbing, hiking, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, paragliding. My playground are the Pyrennees and the Alpes. Although I did several trips in Scotland, Australia and China.

These two are not incompatible ;) So I spend most of my free time outside. Staying to long in a city is hard for me. But when I have to, I'm a good buddy to drink a beer, cook French dishes and have fun!

Music: mostly reggae, dub and jazz but I'm not really picky. Artists that I particularly like: Nicola Cruz, Groundation, Stand High Patrol
Movies: I 'm not really a movie addict but let say films from Darren Aronofsky maybe
Books: George Orwell, Sylvain Tesson. Books on adventure trips and science mostly
