Overview
About Me
I enjoy a good laugh and when things that are planned go to plan, but otherwise I am pretty relaxed and up for anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've only surfed once so far, and it was great! I got aquainted with couch surfers in the Denver area through my roommate and his mutual friends. I'm interested in surfing because the possibilities are endless for who you can meet and where, and how paths continue to cross.
Interests
I enjoy a good book, especially apocalyptic novels. I write and volunteer with a writer's community in the Denver area. I like to travel and to talk about traveling with fellow travelers- I'm always game for a good story. My affinity lies with Poland (the land of my grandparents) and Ireland, where I spent a semester studying abroad in 2008. I love being outdoors, anywhere- a park, a mountain, a lake.
I prefer funny to serious.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies I could take or leave, but my favorite is Jurassic Park. I would read all day if I could, I think besides traveling it's the best way to travel.
My favorite book is Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood (apocalyptic fiction).
Music I enjoy listening to, seeing live, and singing along. Some of my favorite shows I've seen are Florence and the Machine, the Lumineers, Jenny Lewis, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats, The Tallest Man on Earth...and lots of smaller local bands. If you want to go to a show, I'll most likely say yes (unless it is hard rock or metal).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have participated in two Bloody Sunday marches- one in Selma, Alabama, and one in Derry, N. Ireland.
