About Me
Instagram Profile: https://www.instagram.com/whiskandwingit/
I am Daniel. ..
There is more.
I aspire to create lasting memories in my life.
Kick in the backdoor of my comfortzone and get out into the world.
Seek out experiences and create relationships with my Yes-hat strapped on firmly.
I recently finished an education to achieve my Commercial Pilot License on Helicopter.
That's step 1 of my dream.
Step 2 is focused around traveling.
Step 3 will appear when I am ready.
With me, it's about positivity.
Life is too short to be negative. So if it doesn't evolve me, it shouldn't involve me.
Blue skies and happy times,
- Your new friend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
God bless Couchsurfing, and I haven't even tried it yet.
From what I see, hear, read and think about Couchsurfing it's an ideal opportunity for a traveller to get a genuine feel and perspective of locals lifestyle.
Being an obvious possibility to save money is really secondary to this.
Couchsurfing themselves said it best: "We envision a world made better by travel and travel made richer by connection. Couchsurfers share their lives with the people they encounter, fostering cultural exchange and mutual respect."
That truly resonated with me.
Stoked to get started!

Music, Movies, and Books
Wide taste in music. Hours spent finding new music on Soundcloud, while the good ol' rock classics are enjoyed when playing the guitar.
I'm huge into Movies! Being in a cinema I'll let myself be consumed by the movie, letting my fantasy run free, and for a couple of hours there, I can be in a different universe. Be Batman.
I like educational Books.
Favorites in: Vagabonding by Rolf Potts, In a sunburned country by Bill Bryson, Tools of Titans + The 4-hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss, Love louder by Preston Smiles and Don't sweat the small stuff by Richard Carlson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Let's talk about it.
I'll let my friends decide.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Non-judgemental, open-minded, socially-calibrated and positive.
Non-judgemental as in: Lets say that I'm hosting a 36 year old lumberjack from northern Canada.
I come home to find him with his feet in a tepid footbath, watching Gossip Girl and sipping strawberry daiquiris.
My face would in a blink of an eye, go from slightly confused to ear wide smile and within a moment I'll be seated next to him, commenting on a chihuahuas outfit.
Open-minded as in: "That sounds like an adventure, hold my drink while I put on cape and Speedo."
Socially-calibrated as in: I don't double-dip unless I'm by myself.
Positive as in: Didn't catch the expected means of transportation. Let's walk.
We got a sunny sky, sneakers on, a hotdog-stand within reach and maybe even a podcast or audiobook in the headphones.
