My name is Djoerd, coming from the Netherlands but most of the time all over the place. For my study (bachelor tropical agriculture and master international land and water management) I have lived for longer periods of time in Vietnam and Indonesia. At the moment I live on the tiny island state of St Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. I am here for field work and research as part of my master thesis regarding Climate Smart Agriculture for the Small Island Developing States. I am very passionate about the climate, ecology, agriculture and all other wonderful things on this earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Going to other countries to live is amazing. However when arriving it can be a bit hard to find your way around and find people to hang out with. Couch surfing is a great way to meet people who are very happy to show you their country. And once i am a bit more settled in my new place i would love to return that favor to other new comers.
