Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Djordje. I am an Economics student from Montenegro, small European country with a population of less than even a million (600 000), so if you bump into me there is a high possibility that I'll be the first person from that country that you'll meet :). I am a big dreamer, trying to travel as much as I can. As a photographer, I enjoy capturing those little special moments that life is made of.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to have fun, travel, explore other cultures and not be a regular tourist but an explorer :) I believe that this is a great way to meet new people.
"Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost...."

Interests
I am a really inquisitive person. I really am interested in technology, startups, reading books, graphic design, sports etc. In my free time, I'm also a freelance photographer, and that is my passion.
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have an actual favourite movie, maybe Inception/ V for Vendetta but I prefer TV shows like Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Suits etc. as well.
In terms of books, I really love Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams and 1984 by George Orwell :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My life twisted for me in the last couple of years, as I got one scholarship to spend the spring semester of 2015 in Bratislava, Slovakia where I got a chance to travel a lot through Europe, use CS and meet some amazing people, and another one to spend the whole 2015/2016 academic year in Washington DC, so I got a chance to live in two different countries back to back.
Also there are really crazy hitchhiking/CS stories like - hitchhiking a police van used for taking prisoners to jail at 3 AM in the middle of Eindhoven, Netherlands to the airport and so :D If you host me you get to hear the whole story :)
During my stay in the USA, I have attended the General Assembly of UN during the opening ceremony of the Sustainable Development Summit in UNHQ in NYC, where I got a chance to see so many famous politicians and listen to the Pope's address to the UN, which was an amazing experience.
Hiked in the Grand Canyon National Park. That place is amazing and the most fascinating that I've seen with my eyes so far. Photos can't tell how it looks like in real life. I really want to come back and redo the road trip through Nevada/Arizona/Utah
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some phrases of my language and tell you something about our Montenegrin traditions. I'd love if possible to discuss a bit about your culture, history and traditions as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe that I am a flexible organized neat person, who won't be standing in your way if you are busy, but as well a really outgoing chat-friendly one if you are in the mood for that. I can show you some photos that I took during my travels as I'm a photographer and hopefully make my couchsurfing experience as pleasant for you as it would be for me.
I can share with hosts my previous experiences of travelling and meeting other cultures, I can write your name in our national cyrillic alphabet, I can maybe cook you some of our national meals(If I don't set something on fire :D).
