I first surfed in Milan which led me to a film festival, camping on Lake Garda, home made pesto and a road trip in a Fiat Panda. Couchsurfing has a lot of potential to deliver the unexpected and is a great way to keep travel fun and personal.

Night diving in the Philippines was pretty special. Bobbing about with the seahorses and puffer fish with a torch is as other worldly an experience as I've had.

There's nothing quite like floating on your back in a warm sea, looking up at the milky way after a beautiful dive.
