ABOUT ME
an old man in a sears optical center once walked up to me while i sat reading The Alchemist and rubbing my eyes. he said, "good luck with, y'know, whatever", and i went into my optical exam believing in miracles. three days later, i realized the man wasn't actually christ and i still needed contacts.
PHILOSOPHY
conservation of energy. equal and opposite. what goes up. etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
currently traveling with my girlfriend, anik. eventually planning to live in utah and work as wilderness therapy field guides. but who knows.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
consistently top shelf. met some interesting people: a real artsy austrian with a strange and fortunate asparagus allergy, a small man in amsterdam with a questionable collection of nazi literature, a quiet spaniard enduring economic hardship, an intellectual german with refined taste and a disco ball, some politically disillusioned germans who saved our lives from a pack of drunken ex-pat canadians and their two pit-bulls, a security guard poli-sci student who will one day be a secret agent in the middle east, a man in oklahoma city who understands essentials and the depth of shadow.
couchsurfing has never disappointed. everyone is always interesting and almost never scary.
Interests
discovering eight million ways to appreciate sandstone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
got sung "happy birthday" by thirty strangers drunk on bag wine in the highest-elevation hot spring in the US - by far not the most amazing thing, but definitely a treat.
Teach, Learn, Share
ever been interested in the saline content of elephant tears? well, have i got a story for you.
could also teach you to juggle, throw a frisbee, or mount an axle on a trailer...
