About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see new faces, make long term friends, and do all I can to avoid the rat race nightmare.
ABOUT ME
Just logged back onto this for the first time in years so don't let the current 0% response rate put you off too much ;)
I love a good laugh, smiles make my day. I tend to think of myself of someone who shows respect to others . I love the sun, the fresh air, the people, busy streets, awful stenches - whatever gives a place character is what makes it special for me! When I get the chance, I want to travel but don't want to waste money staying in impersonal hotel rooms!
Right now I'm up for hosting folk passing through Edinburgh/nearby. Fire a message my way and we can see what would work.
PHILOSOPHY
I know that every day has the opportunity to change me. I want my future to be one which I will be happy living and will do all I can to make sure of this.
"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present" Marcus Aurelius.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far - I first got this when I was too young to travel, and still stayed with parents, so never really managed to use its potential.
Interests
Music - bagpipes especially (band + recording etc) , saxophone, drumkit, a bit of piano too.
Sport - generally quite an active guy

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - So many - really anything that evokes some emotion or another effectively! To list a few: V for Vendetta, The Time Machine (original), Micmacs, Ali G in Da House (so simple, so brilliant).
Music - Hit me! I'm a big music fan and like most styles. Got into my Scottish Trad/folk over the past couple years but almost anything of quality takes my fancy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Played bagpipes with my band to initiate the Glasgow Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the basics of bagpipes, piano, saxophone, or the drum kit.
I'm happy to show you some of the area's attractions and some of its unique language!
I am able to teach some English if it is at all relevant.
I make a fine paper aeroplane!
