About Me

I love making things and food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I've met with some pretty awesome people through couch surfing. I think it's a wonderful way to meet all sorts of different people with the united passion for travel (and usually, food, too) and slowly start to understand each other, one person at a time.

Interests

Installation art, scuba diving, music, reading, random research, walking for hours in new places, food, sitting on tall things, post-colonial studies, community organization, socially engaged art, experimental literature, food politics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Food

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty good with my hands - I do woodworking, welding, mould-making, ceramics, sewing etc. I’m also fascinated by languages and play a few instruments. I also have a decent amount of experience with teaching English as a second (and even first) language, and have become obsessed with reading theories and research on language learning and brain hacking.

I also love sharing food and cooking with/for people! My ultimate dream is to learn how to cook dishes from all the grandmothers of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mountains of food, tangential (but hopefully fun!) conversations, crazy stories from my dreams, and maybe some furniture repair help/advice.
