Overview
About Me
We live on 2.5 acres, with two dogs, a cat, and two pygmy goats. We are happy to be back in the Sierra Nevada and would enjoy sharing our love of the area with guests.
Our house has a loft with two full sized beds, which we can make available to guests. We are halfway between Portola and Quincy, in the community of Cromberg. It's small and isolated, and a great base for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, cross-country skiing or just exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many types of music, but acoustic guitar and blue grass hold a special place in my heart. For movies, I like science fiction, drama, documentaries, and smart comedies. With books, I'm all over the map, science fiction, fantasy, non-fiction, fiction, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know that any of it is amazing, but I've managed to get some great experiences. I was a sonar technician on a fast-attack submarine, a wildland firefighter, a botanist just outside of Yosemite, and then I decided it was time to take jobs that would let me save money. I've hitchhiked around Australia, traveled in Central America, and would like to have many more adventures.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are curious about culture and lifestyles from around the world and we're interested to hear about your life and travels. If you're a musician - a living room concert would be more than welcome. If you cook - send us the ingredients for a mean and l need and we'll try to accommodate. However we spend our time, we look forward to it.
