About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To actively make the world a better place
ABOUT ME
I'm very easy going, funny and relaxed. I like to have fun and explore new situations as often as possible. I spend my free time with my family, reading about philosophy, politics and the environment or getting involved in the community. I'm always trying to learn and experience new things. I love a good conversation or debate.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to get the most out of life. There is so much out there to learn about and explore. I just wanna know about it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had some good experiences in the past, both as a host and a guest. My partner and I took a break for a while when our kids were younger, but I think we're looking to start hosting again for the right matches.
I love being able to meet people in a new city, or getting to show others around my city and getting to see it in a new light. I think it's such a great social experiment and look forward to participating for a long while. I also want to start exposing my kids both to new cultures and ways of thinking, but also to this unique way of travel.
Interests
I am really interested in the world and how it is understood through different lenses (e.g. politically, socially, environmentally, etc.) I also am quite active and also looking for a new adventure. I like to keep an open mind though and am always looking for new interests.
My kids take up most of my free time these days - so I guess I should include them as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: COMEDIES! I love a good laugh. Also, documentaries, foreign films, or anything that makes me think. Although I don't watch many movies.
Music: I'm all over the place with music - always looking for something new.
Books: There are just so many, I couldn't even begin to start. Mostly non-fiction, but still so many.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Laid down outside and stared up at the stars from on top of a mountain in New Zealand... most amazing thing I have ever seen.
After hiking the Quilotoa Loop in Ecuador (apparently went backwards so it was uphill for 3 days)and then got to the edge of Crater lake, where I ended up kayaking with my friend, just the two of us in the crater. The reward for our difficult hike was that for a moment the world outside the crater ceased to exist.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what I can teach. I can teach you how to throw a frisbee a half-dozen different ways. Also, can probably let you know what's going in the enviro-sustainability world.
