ABOUT ME
When I opened this account five years ago I wrote "My greatest goal for the next few years is to widen my perspective and lessen my ignorance through academic knowledge, human interaction, and, most importantly, travel." I've done a lot of those three things since then but here I am, still ignorant and limited in perspective, just in different ways. I pursue new experiences, appreciate the uncomfortable ones, and try to reflect in useful ways. At the moment, I'm particularly interested in getting my reflections out of my mind and making them relevant to how I live my life. I'd like to spend more time moving my body than my thoughts.
PHILOSOPHY
"I am a human being. Nothing human can be alien to me." -Maya Angelou

Music, Movies, and Books
Books that have recently moved me: Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The World According to Garp, Middlesex, Brothers Karamazov.
I've been watching Werner Herzog, Harmony Korine, and Lars von Trier.
Currently hoping around an eclectic mix of 2000s hip hop (Method Man, Talib Kweli, Atmosphere) and 1960s R&B, funk, and soul (i.e. Eccentric Soul).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sat in a tent in rural Ladakh, India, in the middle of the Himalayas, and listened to a 13 year old Ladakhi boy sing Akon.
