ABOUT ME

I'm just all new to this couch surfing experience. I' ve lived in Bern for four years now and enjoy it a lot. I lack the commitment for my studies so it takes much longer for me than usual to finish them. I've worked as bartender and server for some time and enjoy that aswell, hence the courses for the Swiss Gastronomy Certificate. Nothing big but I have the option to open my own bar. I' ve worked a lot in the last few years so I hadn't really time to travel much. I want to change that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Along with the sharing of my couch I could show you the lovely city of Bern if you ever come here. The appearance of Bern is kind of sleepy and slow. But if you know the right places there's stuff going on. There's a certain culture and subculture that is a lot of fun. Concerts, parties, bars, restaurants, theatres and so on...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm kind of new to all of this experience in the internet. But sleeping on couches and offering my couch is nothing new to me. I even tend to sleep on my own couch if the night has to be short.

Interests

My passion lies in music, bass guitar and guitar especially. And my band of course, me and my two mates. I go to concerts and festivals. I love good food and good wine. So cooking (and eating of course) is one of my hobbies. I love to cook for my friends so when I got time I invite them. I love to eat out if the restaurant is good (I know some good ones!). Sometimes i attend plays or go to the cinema. If I want to freak out (happens sometimes) you might meet me at a techno party or something similar. I'm kind of a nightbird.

Some of the movies and directors I like: 2001 Space Odyssey, Dolls and others by Kitano, Dead Man and others by Jarmush, Quentin Tarantino, trashy stuff with zombies in it and a lot more...
Some music I like: Tom Waits, Sufjan Stevens, Wilco, Radiohead, Erykah Badu, Pearl Jam, Queens of the stone age, the National, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and much more...
Last but not least some of the books I like: High Fidelity, the Satanic Verses, the Sprawl trilogy, Londonstani, and so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I went to Gozo I stood on the highest "mountain" (it's more of a hill) and saw the coast on every side, in the Dominican Republic a peacock and flamingos crossed my way and I slept under a bridge in the UK (I didn't even have a couch). I hope some more interesting stuff will happen to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I mix some pretty good cocktails, as I wrote I love to cook, there's a swiss card game called "Jass". These are only some of the things I'd like to share. I'd like to learn even more but I don't know what exactly. I'll know when I see it.
