Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm a recent graduate from NYU's Silver School of Social Work whose taking a summer off from the city to explore some of this great country before heading back to Brooklyn, NY to further pursue my training in psychoanalysis. My free time in New York is usually spent cooking food with friends, writing, reading, and late nights dancing till my feet demand sleep. I'll be traveling through Alaska using the Marine Highway, hoping to meet some friendly folks along the way to share stories and laughs!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling from Bellingham to Whittier, and up into Anchorage, trying to learn about local life in exchange for tales about city living and, of course, a place to crash if/when new friends are in my neck of the woods! My aim is to spend as much time in my tent as possible, though I'm still a little unclear on which towns allow this, and hoping that the couchsurf community can fill in camping backs to avoid nights in hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books
My bookshelf grows faster than words can be read. I have a tendency to work my way through various books simultaneously, often prolonging one's ending to savor our time together a bit more. I try to incorporate a balance of literature, fiction, and memoir, using threads from each to inspire my own writing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This! I ran into some roadblocks on a trip planned for this summer and decided to fly out to family in Vancouver to set sail, on my own, into Alaska--all in 4 day's time. I'm following my gut, using what I know, and learning as I go. This is a journey towards greater self self sufficiency and understanding!
