Overview
About Me
I moved to LA in 2015, having spent most of my life in San Francisco. My interests are wide and varied, and I'm always trying to learn and push myself to try new things. I try to keep my mind and body healthy while enjoying both the simple beauty of nature and the amazing opportunities modern technology affords us.
Emerson summed up my personal philosophy pretty well, "Be Silly, Be Honest, Be Kind."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To add some love to the world by sharing stories and experiences. Whenever I travel, the stories that stick with me are about the people I interacted with, much more than the sites that I saw.
I want to host people to be part of their journey and make new connections. When I travel, I want to see the rest of the world the way the locals see it, in addition to my outsider's perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm sorta all over the place. I love to listen to both music and books.
Depending on my mood, I could be listening to deep house, old school funk, broadway musicals, pop, or I just hit the I'm Feeling Lucky button on my google music app.
I read/listen to lots of biographies, sci-fi, psychology, mindfulness books. http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/8044365-dmitry
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stopped being afraid of failure.
Once I realized how much there is to do and try in the world, I quit my day job in banking and went back to school to pursue nursing. That didn't work out like I had planned and instead of wallowing the sunk costs, I changed course again.
Now I'm enjoying the journey for its own sake, without worrying about a destination.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm new the LA area so there is a ton that I haven't discovered yet, so I can share my car and my enthusiasm for checking out new places.
I love to cook for others and share recipes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sense of humor and love of knowledge. I have stories to share, advice to give, and I clean up after myself.
