Learning to be free, to be myself. More and more finding that home is inside.
We take a lot of simple things for granted but they are nothing less than miraculous. So I am (re)learning to live simply, or simply live.

I love meeting new people, especially those who are open-minded and respectful.

My wife and I have used CS several times both to host and be hosted, using her profile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seems like a great way to get to know people from different parts of the world. Also when I travel I'd much rather be hosted and spend time with real people rather than stay at an impersonal hotel.

Interests

I enjoy hiking and other exercise. I am exploring tai chi and a little yoga.
I'm a father of a 9-year-old. Although it's not easy to find time, I still play guitar and sing
(have been doing that for years). Definitely interested in art,
especially when I am traveling or on vacation. Also enjoy free-form
dance (again, don't get to do that very often).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Beatles, is still the number-one band for me. Other favorites:
Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Leonard Cohen. Enjoying the world music, new age,
meditative music as well (Wah!).

Books: "Being Peace" and other books by Thich Nhat Hanh. It is very simple but profound.
