ABOUT ME

Married couple with adorable Yorkie-Jack Russell puppy (mentioned just in case any one has allergies) based in Liverpool. She is a filmmaker, he is a musician, 3D designer and dabbles in animation.

She speaks Danish, Swedish and a little Icelandic

PHILOSOPHY

Like a bee that seeks nectar from different flowers, seek teaching everywhere.

The true sign of an intelligent person is one who can talk with scholars but still drink with pirates.

Everyone should live in NYC at least once but leave before it makes you hard. Everyone should live in Northern California once but leave before it makes you soft.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can host one or two people comfortably, but we do have a small dog, so please be aware if you have allergies. She is a loveable pup, and not too much of a bother at all.
Our flat is small but quite central to all cultural amenities (we live above 2 restaurants) and are a stone's throw away from the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

We're very new to this but we can offer a couch for one or an air mattress for two for a few days at a time right now, as we both currently work from home. Later on we can offer longer stays.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Deena has applied to a lot of MA programmes in London and is currently working in London at the weekends and needs places to stay until Ian can find job and we can move down there together.

Generally Deena travels down to London on Thursdays and goes home to Liverpool on Mondays.

anything from jazz to techno, house to classical or bluegrass. Most indie/foreign films and he is a big fan of CG though wishes they were more plot-driven stories rather than slaves to the technology.

Deena: shot films and music videos in Iceland. Traveled by boat from Denmark to Iceland via the Faeroe Islands

Ian has worked on a Christmas tree farm in NC that hosted regular raves.

Teach, Learn, Share

Deena is a professional filmmaker with more than 10 years experience. Occasionally can use an assistant to help coordinate productions or act as an assistant editor. Has interest in Sewing and Jewelry Design.

Ian teaches modelmaking for animation, makes music at home and plays guitar.
