i enjoy the company of my husband, derek, a cave biologist, and new baby girl, ayla eve...we love adventures and get a thrill inviting our 1-year-old into experiences most babies don't get.

...our daughter is currently two turning three soon and we live in mount pleasant, mi where derek is in grad school and I am studying naturopathy.

i've just discovered CS. my husband and i have surfed once, and would like to begin hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books

music: folk and bluegrass, raw acoustic guitar and djembe, wood flute and penny whistle, harmonica...makes me come alive.
books: nonfictions on spirituality and inner wholeness, the corruption of the food industry and big box buying, eating seasonally and locally; fictions of cultures, adventures and travel; memoirs; autobiographies.
movies: got to mention my classic favs---pride and prejudice, anne of green gables and lord of the rings. the last samurai, planet earth.

always looking to learn more about other cultures, other ways of doing things and new ways to view the world.

i spend a lot of time learning to make a smaller footprint on the earth---finding out how to purchase items that won't oppress our dear friends across the sea; how to live in balance with the environment; how to prepare foods that strengthen our bodies rather than destroy. really interested in the enneagram, self discovery, and becoming a holistically free, healthy person.
