About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To relive my wild CS past! Only better, and through more mature eyes.

ABOUT ME

Who better to describe me than my Mother: Dana is charming and is very easy to get along with. He is never in any drama...He is gracious and is a good host. He strives for the adventures of new places and people. Has been traveling most of his adult life, and is dedicated to learning new languages that he can use in his everyday life. He never seems to sit still do you will never have to worry that he will overstay his welcome or dominate your couch.

Thanks mom! I don't have an smartphone nor GPS. There are more plants in my apartment than anything else!

PHILOSOPHY

The Golden Rule: treat others how you would like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host some surfers again, and maybe this Summer in Germany use couchsurfing to find some friends, and rideshares.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first CS experience before I even had a profile! The bad experiences that I have had are there to learn from. For the most part everything has gone smooth and I can genuinely say that I have met some friends unexpectedly I hope to see in the future!

Interests

I've become a better cook over the years. I like to run, snorkel, surf (where possible), bike, hike, swim and play sports. I bike to almost all of my classes. I've nearly perfected it! Seeing Real Madrid win the champions league would be pretty great. I realize that I travel around to try new foods and drinks. Don't you?

Music, Movies, and Books

When I come home in the evening I listen to a radio show that talks about paranormal things like aliens, bigfoot, global conspiracies etc. The majority is fake, but it's sure good to relax after work and get ideas for my English classes. I like to read in Spanish to keep my vocabulary up to par. I enjoy all music! Lately I've learned some One Direction songs so I can sing them with my primary school students in class. You can say it's part of my job.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day in Germany I rode in three different police cars and spent four hours in a police station and I was never in trouble!

I've bribed police officers on two continents.

I'm the only American who hasn't been to Paris.

I make spicy salsa and carrots for my friends. They even work as birthday presents.

(more to come)

Teach, Learn, Share

ALWAYS have a nice sharp knife on you when you travel. You never know when you would need it to slice cheese, bread, or something else for a picnic in the park or in a plaza somewhere.
