ABOUT ME

I like to keep myself entertained. Hedonism for life. Always down for an adventure but at the same time I'm always down for a nap. Keep smiling, always learning, try something new.

I'm just a big kid and the world is my candy shop.

PHILOSOPHY

Obviously there are time's when you need to buckle down and get serious- but I try and aviod those if I can. No worries, Relax, chill out- however you want to phrase it just keep it loose and enjoy yourself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I got the space and we get along alright I don't see why you shoudln't be able to occupy it. On the flip side if I'm in your care I want to pick your brain- tell me what makes where you stay worthwhile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been blessed to have friends and connections outside of the couchsurfing community to call on- but I'd like to expand my horizon.

Outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing and bonfires. Anything that can be done in a bar- i.e. pool, darts, dice and cards. Traveling and exploring. Food, sports and games of any type. You would be hard pressed to find anything I didn't find amusing one way or another.

I like a good story and beats that slap. Anything by Hunter S. Thompson, Mario Puzo, and Howard Zinn. As far as music goes I'm pretty flexible. My favorites are golden era hip-hop, bluegrass, classic rock, funk and soul. But I can get down with pretty much anything.

I think this is a weird section. There are things that some people would call amazing that others think is so unimaginative I'm almost afraid of putting anything here. I've climbed Uluru; but so has 2/3rd's of Oz. I've lived and worked in the Alaskan bush, but for only one season- hardly anything to brag about. I've roadtripped across the U.S.- that was pretty awesome. A lot of people don't give the U.S. enough credit for it's regional diversity.

I have a loud mouth. I can talk the ears off an elephant if need be. I'll give you my opinion about anything- even if I know nothing about it. I guess a good chunk of my knowledge is about peope. I think they are extremely interesting in their differences and I have degrees in Linguistics and Sociology- but thats just a piece of paper. Politics, gender roles, power dynamics, ethnicity and identity, social pressure, history or whatever.

Personally I don't think anyone should listen to me.
