I have a passion for getting to know people, learning from each other, and growing together. I would love the opportunity to meet you and exchange ideas, culture, and our company. I enjoy exploring cities, eating local cuisine, cooking, and teaching people about medicine/science.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to interact and get to know a wide variety of people. Every time I meet someone new, I expand my understanding and grow a little bit. We're in this big world and I enjoy making small steps in closing gaps between us.

Interests

I love trying out new recipes and learning from locals. My love for food started with my multicultural home. My Peruvian father and Salvadoran mother introduced me to an awesome variety of food that I wish to share. I would like to learn local languages and help people practice their English/Spanish if they desire. Discovering what makes an area unique is always rewarding; the history, customs, way of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many types of music including, pop, rap, hip hop, country, classic rock, among others. My favorite books include the Harry Potter series, Hunger Games, End of the Affair, Prodigal God, many more. I love thriller/horror movies, comedies, and old Mexican black and white films that I watched with my family growing up. Huge Disney fan as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spring 2017 I helped with a medical mission trip to El Salvador in a small rural village. It was heartbreaking to see the need and conditions of many of our patients. It was an honor to help serve them and interpret for the doctors and other staff members. I came back with a renewed drive to one day be a doctor and help the underserved populations of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love the opportunity to teach, learn, or share with couchsurfers. I can personally help with science and medicine, English, and Spanish language; I would like to learn more about the arts and history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking! I enjoy cooking many different kinds of foods. I enjoy teaching Spanish, Math, and Science. I also really love hearing people's dreams, what drives them to get up every morning. If I can be of encouragement to you, my day will be complete!
